Former Longhorns shine in Grizzlies-Spurs matchup

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The San Antonio Spurs paid a visit to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, February 12, 2019, and escaped with a 108-107 victory in regulation.

Former Texas Longhorn LaMarcus Aldridge led the Spurs with 22 points while scoring the final seven of the game to secure the win for the visitors. Meanwhile, Avery Bradley, another former Longhorn, led the way for Memphis with a career-high 33 points after connecting on 15-of-21 shots from the field.

San Antonio led by two points when a foul on Grizzlies' rookie Jaren Jackson, Jr., gave Memphis a chance to tie the game with one second left. Jackson missed the first free throw, however, and the Spurs were able to run the clock out on the ensuing inbound play.
